The Passover Lamb is in the Stars
Every zodiac constellation is visible for about six to eight months of the year. The stars rotate in the sky as if they are fixed on a turning wheel. We do not see the whole wheel at any one time.
When constellations enter our visibility, they often represent beginning or birth.
When constellations exit our visibility, they represent end or death.
The Lamb constellation is best seen during the eighth month on a heavenly calendar. This month overlaps with October and November on the Gregorian calendar.
The Lamb constellation leaves our visibility early spring.
The Lamb’s Departure
By springtime, the Lamb has progressed to the western sky. If you go outdoors around 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. and find the Lamb constellation, you will see it setting on the western horizon. The Lamb is not visible for most of the night. It is disappearing.
YHWH designed the Lamb to ‘leave the sky’ early spring. The Lamb’s departure represents the sacrifice of a lamb. This timing in the sky witnesses to Passover, a spring holiday.
What Was Passover?
In simple terms, Passover is a festival that memorializes the lambs sacrificed during the Exodus.
When YHWH delivered His people out of slavery in Egypt, He commanded them to observe the Passover. All YHWH’s people slaughtered a lamb on the fourteenth day of the first month.
Exodus 12:6-7 “And ye shall keep it [the lamb] up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.” (KJV)
Each household painted the lamb’s blood on their doorpost. This was a sign of the covenant between YHWH and His people. When evening came, the people ate the lamb in their homes ready to depart.
That night, the angel of death passed through the land and killed the firstborn of every Egyptian family. This was the final plague in Egypt. The angel ‘passed over’ every Israelite household with blood on the doorpost, and their their firstborn children were spared.
Passover Today
The command to observe Passover was given to ALL generations of YHWH’s people.
Exodus 12:14 “And this day shall become to you a remembrance. And you shall celebrate it as a festival to יהוה throughout your generations – celebrate it as a festival, an everlasting law.” (TS2009)
For believers in Yahushua, Passover symbolizes YHWH delivering His people from bondage and sin. The lamb represents our salvation, both through YHWH redeeming His people from Egypt and Yahushua redeeming mankind.
Celebrating Passover
This week, my family will celebrate the Passover memorial. We will eat a meal of lamb, unleavened bread, and bitter herbs.
We acknowledge the Passover as a “Night of Watches.” This means we stay awake, keeping watch throughout the hours of the night. During the night, we read Scripture, sing songs, and feast on fun foods.
Our family reflects on Yahushua, our salvation, and remember our ancestors.
We also look to the future. Days are coming when we will no longer talk about the Exodus from Egypt because we will be rejoicing in YHWH gathering His people and delivering them from the all the nations.
Jeremiah 16:14-15 “‘Therefore see, the days are coming,’ declares יהוה, ‘when it is no longer said, “יהוה lives who brought up the children of Yisra’ěl from the land of Mitsrayim [Egypt],” but, “יהוה lives who brought up the children of Yisra’ěl from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.” For I shall bring them back into their land I gave to their fathers.’” (TS2009)
Next Time...
The Lamb’s departure from the sky in early spring also points to Yahushua’s death. Yahushua died at the same time the Lamb constellation leave our visibility.
Next week, we will explore this in more detail and see how the Lamb constellation perfectly testifies to Yahushua’s sacrifice.
Happy feast season, you all!

“The sign was for all generations. The Torah and the Prophets foretold Yahushua’s coming. Many people were looking for Him. If they knew that the sign of El was a lamb to be sacrificed, they might have understood He WAS the Messiah.”

This is fascinating. It leads me to a question. There are some observing Pesach this week. Others will not until the end of April. At what point does the lamb constellation fully disappear?
Thank you! Amazing information that Our Father clearly displayed for nations to behold.
